Econ 80
Product Code:SOREC80G
An economical urethane rubber that has no odor. Low viscosity for easy mixing and pouring. Used to make short run molds for casting concrete and resins, concrete stamping pads, rubber mechanical parts, coating fabrics, pour-in-place gaskets for industrial equipment and burial vaults. A lower cost, faster cure alternative to PMC-780 Dry (physical properties are lower vs. PMC-780 Dry).
Easy to color with SO-Strong or Ignite. To prevent adhesion between the rubber and model surface, models made of porous materials (gypsum plasters, concrete, wood, stone, etc...) must be sealed (with SuperSeal or One Step) prior to applying a release agent. A shellac is suitable for sealing modeling clays that contain sulfur or moisture (water based) and thermoplastics (polystyrene). A release agent (Universal Mold Release) is necessary to facilitate demolding when casting into or over most surfaces.
